First, we have to assume that if you are changing the sink, or remodeling the bathroom, you will be changing the faucets as well. When you select your new vessel sink faucet consider getting one that is a little lower, closer to the sink bowl. This is particularly important if the sink you select is on the small side. For people who already have the sink installed, look carefully at your faucet and if the height is the issue then you may have to replace it. However, another possible reason for excessive splashing on already installed vessel sinks might be the water pressure. Before jumping to conclusions and going to buy a new faucet, you might want to verify if that is the culprit. With the faucet on, reach under the sink and adjust the shut off valve. Turn the faucet on for maximum output and adjust the valve until you have a flow that is acceptable. You may have to use a pair of pliers to turn the valve. If you cannot reduce the splashing, this way, then you may have to replace your vessel sink faucet.
